The Agriturismo il Poggio del Falco

The Agriturismo “Il Poggio del Falco” is located on the top of a hill near the Peglia mountain, overlooking the forests and the green valleys and offering an incredible view. Although it is the ideal environment for people who love the peace and the slow rhythms of the country life, its closeness to the beautiful town of Orvieto, gives the opportunity to visit the other Umbrian towns distributed around a territory where you can discover the treasure of a country rich of history and tradition.

It has been completely restored respecting the architecture of the Umbrian country style, both for the outside build up with the local stones, and for the rustic style of the furnishings.

The Agriturismo is surrounded by 6000 mq of gardens, with swimming pool, children playground, barbeque and pizza oven, open theatre, nature and exercise trail.

Swimmingpool: Open from the last Saturday in April until the first Saturday in October, our oval pool (11 by 5 metres, depth from 1.20 to 1.40 metres) is located a few steps from the apartments. It is surrounded by grass and a stone paved area with deck chairs, parasols and an open-air shower.

Barbeque and pizza oven: The green area next to the pool has 3 large pick-nick tables, 2 barbeques and 2 pizza ovens, and is ideal for relaxing summer dinners. 

Children’s playground: A completely fenced children’s play area with climbing frame, slide, swings, a toy train and rocking horses.

Exercise trail: A forest trail with 6 different types of exercise equipment.

Nature trail: A circular forest trail with descriptions of the local shrubs and trees and a visit to one of the two streams that border our property.

Restaurant with up to 40 seats, our restaurant, which also houses a lounge area with satellite television, hi-fi, DVD, board games, piano and terrace, serves local dishes prepared with our own fresh farm produce and those of nearby farms. The menu is fixed and varies according to the seasons. It is an ideal place for small functions and relaxing dinners in a warm and cosy environment.   

Conference Room equipped with a projector, screen, computers, flip charts etc., and can host meetings of up to 15 people.

Open-air theatre  a stone-build theatre able to house up to 40 people which offers an excellent venue for theatre or other types of events, and beautiful views of the immediate surroundings and Mount Amiata.
